My favorite thing for really any busy morning is Steel Cut Oats in the Instant Pot! Great for busy mornings or busy Holiday mornings! I like to add a plethora of toppings for folks to customize their bowls as they’d like! I went to Chicago many years ago and stayed at a hotel that had the most amazing Oatmeal and this is the closest that I have found to that!
Steel Cut Oats
1 cup Steel Cut Oats
3 cups Water
Topping Suggestions – Baking chips, coconut, nuts and seed, milk of choice, honey, maple syrup, brown, sugar, fresh, frozen or dried fruit. You name it you can add it!
I like to spray my Instant Pot with some no stick cooking spray just to ensure the oats do no stick!
Place steel cut oats and water in your instant pot and stir! I sometimes add some butter or oil to it to to make extra sure it doesn’t stick, but not necessary! You can also add in some vanilla or almond extract if you’d like!
Set your Instant Pot to manual mode and set for 4 minutes. This will take about 15-20 minutes total between the pot coming to pressure and the cook time! This typically feed 4 people, so if you are feeding a crowd you may double or triple this recipe! Just be cautious of the size of your pressure cooker!
Serve with an array of toppings and allow people to serve themselves! So easy!
Would also pair well with out Oven Omelet for those folks that need a little extra protein.
